Tonight the Princess Alice Hospice held a special service in the recreation grounds opposite the hospice. We all sang Christmas Carols with the Notre Dame School choir, the hospice chaplain conducted the service and we all said prayers and then 1,000's of lights were lit up on the front of the hospice. These lights represented the lives of our dearly departed loved ones and we were all asked to focus on one light in memory of our own loved one. The lights remain on now until 12th night. ALL our family came with me and we all supported each other through this very emotional event. The hospice provides such an outstanding support for all the families of those who were cared for by the hospice both as in-patients and at home with the community nurses. As we prepare for Christmas we all miss you so much - you loved all the preparations. John - life just isn't the same without you - you were truly the HEAD of our amazing close loving family!
