Fred is John's stepdad and will be 91 in November and has Alzheimers disease. He keeps forgetting that John has died and asks how he is and where he is. He is housebound and on a walking frame and can't remember what day it is or when he changed his clothes or if he's eaten. I'm finding it so hard that he is at the end of his life with no quality to living and John still had so much life and loving to live. I know it's not Fred's fault and he seems happy enough in his own way but then life just isn't fair is it? Attached are some photos of happier times with Fred.
