Anne 10th December 2010

It's nearly Christmas and you're no longer in my life but forever in my heart. You made Christmas so special for all our family. Here are 2 new poems for you my darling John: We used to love this time of year but now everything I see reminds me just how much I wish that you were back here with me. For it's the little things I notice that fill my heart with pain such as reading Christmas greetings with no mention of your name. And it's lights may be twinkling but the tree's forlorn now, too because underneath it's branches lay no gifts from me to you. But wherever you are, dear John I hope somehow you will know that you're in my thoughts this Christmas for I'll always love you so. ----------------------------------- Wherever you may be right now, I know within my heart the love we shared together still lives though we're apart, and at this special time of year, not having you to hold, somehow seems harder to bear as nights grow cold. But darling, though the snowflakes fall and bring a winter chill Your love still warms my heart as I know it always will.
