My darling - I can't believe a year has gone since you left us. We were a great team and had a great life together. On reflection I was privileged to have shared your last few weeks with you. You were able to share your emotions, fears, anger and pain with me, which highlights the immense love and trust we had in each other. Life is so empty without you. I organised a Memorial Fun Day in your memory with all your favourite people. The surprise event was a release of white doves - I released the first one by hand and our family opened the cages for the others - one for each of our children and also one for each of the grandchildren. It was very moving and emotional. I read a presentation I had prepared and a couple of poems and will put them in the Thoughts sections of this tribute. We all wrote messages to heaven and attached them to blue ballons - I hope you received them all. We borrowed Wendy and John's canoes and had a fishing and swimming competition and a General Knowledge Quiz so there was something for all ages. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the icing on the cake was the weather - the sun shone ALL day and it was the hottest day of the year so far! You did love a party and the sun so I'm sure you were watching over all of us. Miss you so much my darling - rest in peace until we meet again. Anne xxxxxxx
