John and I met at Hammersmith Palais in London and we became ballroom dancing partners when John was 18 and I was 14. We became dancing champions and regularly appeared on television on Come Dancing and The Victor Silvester Dancing Show. We were South West Dancing champions and 3rd in the Middlesex Championship and regularly competed in the British Open Championship in Blackpool. We fell in love and got engaged and then married on 31 March 1962 at St John's church in Hampton Wick. We stopped dancing when we had our 2nd child to concentrate on raising our family. Love at first sight and still in love after 52 years (46 years married) as the photos show. A very loving, special relationship.
