Christmas is nearly here my darling and life is so different for me since you died. Jessica is working on a cruise ship and not very happy so Helen and Madeline have gone today to join her for 7 days from 24 to 31 December. The rest of us are at Louise and Jason's on Boxing Day this year and we will all miss Helen, Jessica and Madeline. I am going to Brian's eldest daughter on Christmas Day and his second daughter and her family are going to be there as well. It will be the FIRST Christmas ever since we got married in 1962 that I haven't spent with one or the other of our family so it will be very strange!! I miss you so much darling and think of you every day and the special love we had but life has to go on. I am so lucky to have found love again in Brian and it's nice having someone to care for on a daily basis again and he makes me happy. We talk all the time about you and his late wife Joyce and we have selected one of my lovely poems to put out this Christmas which applies to us both. "There's a pain beyond imagination burning in our hearts Because the day you went away our whole world fell apart And even though it's Christmas with its bright and festive scenes Reminders of our special times are all that Christmas means We built our dreams together we imagined every day That our future was amazing but the dream was blown away We're grateful for the times we shared, we really did so much But we won't pretend it's easy getting by without your touch One day we'll be together though we don't know where or when But we just can't wait to see you and be in your arms again." We are both so lucky to have such wonderful caring families to share. Margaret is fighting her cancer so bravely and is having chemotheraly AND radiotherapy at the moment and is so positive - her outlook looks good so keep watching over her darling. They need to find a cure for cancer soon as it affects so many people now!! Will send a message again for you on Christmas Day. Watch over us all and keep us all safe.
